He lifted me up when I was drowning
In a sea of of doubt and longing.
He calmed my soul with words of hope
Whilst I was hanging by a rope.
He took my hand and led to meadows
Where before my spirit could not grow.
He held me til the tears were gone and sight restored
And let me know that I had value in the eye of the Lord.
He dispelled the clouds in my tortured mind
And into my heart propelled the Sonshine.
He is Jesus ... my Savior near and dear,
And now I live in joy and vanished is my fear.
He lifted me up and He will save all
You've only to ask to break your fall.
