There's a very Special Father,

Whom some may fail to mention;

Who deserves our deepest gratitude

and our sincere utmost attention.

He gave us His only begotten Son

Who died upon the cross

To give us everlasting life

and for the sinners, who were lost.

You know, it must have caused God pain

As He watched His only Son,

With nails through His hands and in His feet,

His suffering had begun.

But, Jesus knew the sacrifice,

As He hung upon the cross.

He also knew His Father loved Him

So He didn't count the cost.

Now, here I am on bended knee

To thank you, Lord, and pray ...

To honor You and Your Son, too

On "Your Special Father's Day."
