I wandered in the desert of life

without water for my most inner soul

wondering where could I find peace,

hope for the journey

that had not come to an end.

Then I heard the Shepherd's voice:

"Come to me

and allow me to lead you

to waters cool

where the grass is green,

more beautiful

than anything you've ever seen."

"Come to me

and I will give you peace

not as the world gives -

for it is more illusion than reality -

but My peace

is an eternal finality."

"Come to me

and I will give you hope

not simply

for the calendar of man

but for eternity;

for the things of this world

are for now

but the things I have

are forever."

And so, my Lord Jesus,

I come to You.

Take my hand, lead me

for the eternity of my life.
