Lead Me Lord

A child has come to lead

as the prophets predicted.

His crown is life.

His word is peace.

His legacy is hope.

A child has come to lead

as it was written.

His way is right.

His touch is healing.

His name is love.

Faith in Thee

Wherever I walk, You are there.

Whatever I say, You hear.

You light my way in darkness;

because of You, I have no fear.

Whenever I cry, You hear me;

You soothe the hurt and dry the tears.

It seems You've always been beside me,

and will remain throughout the years.

A strong love burns within me,

growing stronger every day;

I know You're here beside me

guiding me along life's way.

No matter what may come tomorrow,

I know that You will help me see

that I can solve all problems

just by having faith in Thee.

dear friend forever

At Calvary

The hill at Calvary seems very peaceful now.

They took Him down and laid Him in his grave;

but the stone they used to seal away His body

can never seal away the love He gave.

The crowds have gone away, the place is empty now

and the guards have torn His garments into parts.

But they can't destroy the inner peace He's given

that men will carry with them in their hearts.

The hill at Calvary seems very peaceful now.

The sky has given back the sun again.

I'll wait here for the third day that He mentioned;

He'll be coming back! And I'll be here til then.

The cross no longer stands upon the hillside

but it stands forevermore to lead the way.

And the lessons that He taught will serve to guide me

as I wait here, deep in prayer, for that third day.

I offer up a humble prayer at Calvary

to Him who gave what only He could give.

And I pray that I may follow all His teachings

so that when I die I may begin to live.

As I wait here on the silent slopes of Calvary

for the Glory of the Lord to fill my life,

I realize the sacrifice I've witnessed

and my heart is filled with love for Jesus Christ.

The Nazarene

From the land of cool, clear waters

and pastures lush and green,

came a man whom they called Jesus,

and He was a Nazarene.

He was born in a stable

with a manger for a bed;

with kings and shepherds 'round Him

and a star above His head.

They said He was a child of God

sent to earth to live as man.

He came to teach us peace and love,

but we didn't understand.

Though He healed the sick and feeble,

raised the dead up from the grave,

He frightened many people

with the promises he made.

Sent to earth to suffer

for the sins of other men,

to cleanse our souls and lift our hearts

so we may begin again.

No one seemed to realize

the meaning of His birth

or understand the parables

He told about the earth.

The crucifixion opened eyes --

too late -- but now they see

that the Nazaren called Jesus

gave his life for you and me.

A Song For Jesus

Along about this time each night,

I sit with pen in hand to write

a song for Jesus.

Shall it be a song of joy,

about the newborn baby boy,

the infant Jesus...

More miracles than I can count;

and the Sermon on the Mount,

Oh, wondrous Jesus!

Or shall I tell about the strife

that you endured in your short life,

my blessed Jesus...

Shall I tell of mercy mild

or the love you have

for each small child

my loving Jesus...

Shall I tell of how you live

in the hearts of all who give

their lives to Jesus.

And so, with pen in hand, each night

I try to find the words to write

my song for Jesus.

May God hold you in the Glory of His love*

Easter Morning

Sunrise gleaming on Easter morning,

bathes us all with rays of hope.

And our Saviour with His redeeming

power of love returns today.

Alleluia! Christ the Lord is risen

bringing peace to this troubled soul of mine.

Alleluia! Glory to the Highest!

He brings love to last for all time.

Voices singing songs of praise,

hearts are filled with love.

Hear the melody of churchbells ringing,

singing songs of praise.

Alleluia! Christ the Lord is risen

bringing peace to this troubled soul of mine.

Alleluia! Glory to the Highest!

He brings love to last for all time.

People, rejoice! For He is risen,

come back to lead us on.

Let joy resound in every voice

as we sing His praise.

Alleluia! Christ the Lord is risen

bringing peace to this troubled soul of mine.

Alleluia! Glory to the Highest!

He brings love to last for all time.

When we love each other
God lives in us,
and his love within us grows
ever stronger...
