A cold nip in the morning air,

Crisp leaves beneath my feet,

As we say farewell to summertime

And the Autumn season greet.

The year flies by so quickly,

It seems no time at all

Since we heralded in the joyous Spring,

Awaiting Summer's call.

Our lives are like the seasons,

Varying all the time.

Sometimes we're filled with deep despair

At others, joy sublime.

So when you are filled with sadness,

Just remember it will pass,

As surely as the winter goes,

Spring's promises amass.
